Nemesis
A monster that kills a hero may become that hero's nemesis: it takes a name, grows stronger with every victim and keeps hunting in its zone. Slay it for great rewards - and if it once killed you, avenge yourself.
Living nemeses
No nemesis hunts the lands right now.
Hall of the fallen
No nemesis has been slain yet.
How it works
- Birth
- When a monster of a hunting zone kills a character of level 30 or more, it may become that character's nemesis (one per zone, 25 at most in the world). Bosses, raid, march and event monsters never do.
- Rank
- Every new victim heals it and raises its rank, up to 5: more health and damage with every rank.
- Life
- A nemesis that disappears comes back in its zone after a while. One that finds no victim for 7 days fades away.
- Slaying
- Everybody with at least a tenth of the damage gets more experience; the corpse holds better loot and, from rank 3, an upgrade stone. The top fighter takes its trophy. Its own victims are avenged: more experience, the title "the Avenger" and an achievement.
